Karen M. Federici, MD, IBCLC
Dr. Federici is a board certified family physician. She earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and completed her family medicine residency at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, IL. She founded Family First Physicians in 2006. Dr. Federici is also an international board certified lactation consultant.
Dr. Federici practices family medicine, including primary care for children and adults, but especially for mothers and their children. She integrates common sense and modern medicine for a holistic approach to health care. Her special interests include breastfeeding and natural parenting. Dr. Federici and her husband, Barry, live in DeKalb with their four children, Kayla, Alexander, Grace, and Tessa. She enjoys running, triathlons, and audiobooks.

Barry Federici, CPA, MBA, MST
Barry is the Practice Director for Family First Physicians. He has earned a BS in Architecture, as well as both an MBA and Master’s in Accountancy, all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and has done tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is currently serving as the Commanding Officer for MTACS-48 at Naval Station Great Lakes. Barry is a Templar and a member of the Illinois MBA Board. He enjoys running, investing, and playing chess.

Kerri Collins
Kerri is the Office Administrator and Lead Medical Assistant for Family First Physicians. She has over ten years of experience in the medical field. Kerri lives in Genoa with her husband, Ron, and their three children, Michael, Matthew, and Macy. She enjoys reading, photography, and spending time with her family.

Belinda Santos
Belinda is our receptionist at Family First Physicians, as well as the Office Coordinator for Kish Health’s Genoa facility. She is a native of Kirkland, and currently resides in Genoa with her family, Karl and Chloe. Belinda enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, traveling, and helping others.

Jennifer Kleckner, RN, IBCLC
Jennifer is our staff nurse. She earned her AAS in Nursing from Kishwaukee Community College in December 2005. She is also an International Certified Lactation Counselor. Jennifer lives in Cortland with her husband, Kurt, and their five children: Jade, Hunter, Emerald, Sage, and Logan. She enjoys photography, cooking, and family time.

Tammy Burriell, CMA
Tammy Burriell is our newest Medical Assistant in the office. She is a graduate of Everest College in N. Aurora. Tammy lives in Sycamore with her husband Jon and three children: Dalton, Bridget and Lily. She enjoys reading, sports, and children.
