Emergencies
During regular office hours, please call our office before going to the emergency room or hospital. After hours, we may be reached for urgent matters only by calling our office and leaving a message with the answering service. We make time for our patients’ emergencies and want to be there to help you.

Medication Refills

Prescription refills will be done only during regular office hours so that we can contact the pharmacist if necessary. We kindly request advance notice of your prescription refill needs. In most cases, we will fax your prescription refill within one business day.

In order to provide outstanding health care, some prescriptions cannot be refilled without an office visit. If you have not been seen in our office within the last year, your prescription may not be refilled.

Cancellation Policy

We realize patients may need to change their appointments; however, we do require a 24-hour notification of cancellation or rescheduling so we may offer that appointment to another patient. Also, if you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you may need to reschedule so that we do not inconvenience our patients who have arrived on time. If you fail to cancel, you will receive a reminder notification to reschedule, and you will be charged a fee for subsequent no-shows. We routinely call our patients the day prior to an appointment as a courtesy reminder.

Insurance Claims
Family First Physicians participates with many major insurance carriers. As a courtesy to our patients, we will file insurance claims for those insurances with which we participate. Please remember, any amount not covered by insurance is ultimately the patient's responsibility. A list of the insurance plans in which we participate is provided, but please contact your insurance company for confirmation. Please see our insurance page.

Payment
Payment is required at the time of service for all services which are non-covered or determined to be the patient's responsibility, including co-payments. Payment may be made by cash or check. There is a $35.00 fee for all returned checks. Our fees are comparable to the usual and customary fees charged by other family physicians in this area.
